Fred Floberg is one of the founders of The Chicago Corporation, which he co-founded in 2010, and is a Managing Director of the firm. He has more than thirty-five years experience in investment banking with a concentration in mergers and acquisitions advisory work. He has represented a wide range of clients including small to large capitalization enterprises and public and private companies. His current practice involves representing the owners of privately-held businesses that are exploring liquidity alternatives. His clients represent various industries, including industrial products and business services, food, applied technology, healthcare services, specialty chemicals and information services.
Prior to reestablishing The Chicago Corporation, Mr. Floberg had been a Managing Director at Heller Financial, Inc., ABN AMRO Incorporated, The Chicago Corporation, and The Chicago Dearborn Company. Mr. Floberg began his investment banking career at Smith Barney where he was a Managing Director working on a wide variety of public and private transactions. Prior to his investment banking career, he was a partner at a large Chicago law firm. He served as an officer in the US Navy.
Mr. Floberg holds an M.B.A. in finance from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business; he holds a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law where he served on the Law Review; and he obtained a B.A. from Dartmouth College.
